Our speakers

Andy Gordon, Area Customs Compliance Manager, Maersk

Andy has a robust background in customs compliance and product delivery. Currently, he serves as the Area Head of Customs Compliance Delivery & Product for the UK & Ireland at A.P. Moller - Maersk, where he has been pivotal in enhancing compliance strategies and optimising product delivery for nearly four years.

Prior to this, Andy worked as a Global Account Manager at WacPack Ltd, managing key global accounts and driving client satisfaction. His career also includes a significant tenure as Quality and Compliance Manager at Harrison C White, where he implemented rigorous quality and compliance systems across Europe. With a foundation in logistics from his earlier role as a transport manager, Andy brings a wealth of experience and a strategic approach to his current position.

David Browne, Head of Corporate Affairs, Maersk

David has worked in the Maersk organisation for over 30 years in a variety of roles and locations. Focusing on logistics and containerisation his career has taken him to Egypt and the East Mediterranean as well as to Maersk’s head office in Copenhagen.

Now back in the UK, David’s primary interests are sustainability and decarbonisation in all their guises, development of logistics for temperature-controlled products as well as the support of government, military and aid cargoes. Outside of Maersk David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation and a member of both the Freight Logistics and Air Policy Groups.
