With increasing use of automation, the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the growing importance of diversity, the question of what sort of talent an organisation will be recruiting in the next five years has become a complex one.

A Reed Talent Solutions survey of 1,000 hiring managers revealed almost 80% believe there is a significant gap between the skills held by their workforce and those needed to meet their business goals. Seventy-seven per cent of hiring managers also said it was either very, or somewhat likely, that a lack of access to workers equipped with the skill sets they need will restrict growth within their businesses in the next three years.

This demonstrates how vital it is to grow talent pools, source the very best candidates, and create a smooth and attractive transition for those making the journey from applicant to new employee.

Reed Talent Solutions' webinar, ‘Talent acquisition in the age of Industry 5.0: challenges and opportunities’, will look at how the world of talent acquisition is likely to continue to evolve in the next few years and to what extent organisations can set themselves up for success in an ever-changing environment.

Reed Talent Solutions’ Managing Consultant for Talent Advisory, Steve Dilley, Solutions Director - Recruit, Train, Deploy, Louise Reed, Managing Director - Consulting and Client Engagement, Jo Lindsay, and Director of Reed Screening, Keith Rosser, offered viewers their expert insight and advice on how to futureproof your talent strategy.

The panel discussed employee value proposition, onboarding, selection and attraction, employee vetting, upskilling, reskilling and much more.
