How long does the apprenticeship last?
The Level 5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship typically spans 21 months plus 5 months End Point Assessment, allowing apprentices to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience at a manageable pace.
Throughout this period, apprentices participate in structured learning modules, practical workplace assignments, and regular check-ins with mentors to track progress. This flexible timeframe accommodates learners with varying schedules and allows for gradual skill-building that aligns with real-world application in their roles. By the end of the apprenticeship, apprentices are well-prepared with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their leadership role.
The programme is split into four main phases which include an induction, core modules, End Point Assessment preparation and the End Point Assessment.
How will I be assessed?
Your off-the-job training will be assessed throughout the programme and will be based on the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (SKBs) you develop.
Throughout the program, apprentices will complete practical assignments, reflective journals, and knowledge-based tests, all designed to apply theory to real-world scenarios. These assessments are structured to support continuous learning, helping apprentices develop critical management and leadership skills.
Regular feedback from tutors ensures that apprentices stay on track and are equipped to meet the demands of their roles.
An End Point Assessment takes place once you have completed all the on-programme requirements of the apprenticeship and is an assessment of the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours.
