Course content
The CIMA F1 module explores the fundamentals of financial reporting, including financial regulators and their roles and the process of preparing basic financial statements. This essential module also delves into the principles of taxation, types of taxes, how to calculate them and the issues affecting taxation. Additionally, you'll discover how to manage cash and working capital with various tools.

Regulatory environment of financial reporting: Learn who the regulators are, what they do and why and how regulations are applied.
Financial statements: Learn how to prepare basic financial statements using financial reporting standards.
Principles of taxation: Learn how to distinguish between types of taxes, calculate corporation taxes and issues affecting taxation.
Managing cash and working capital: Learn which tools are used to ensure that the organisation has enough cash to ensure its continuing operations.
By completing this module, you will gain the knowledge and expertise needed to create accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Your reliable financial reporting skills can be applied to make informed business decisions, manage performance and used for other internal purposes.
Completing the CIMA Level 7 Professional Qualification typically takes 3 years with each exam, including F1, taking 3 months to complete on average.
You must have already completed all four subjects in the Certificate in Business Accounting before enrolling on this course.
AAT-qualified candidates, and those with a relevant degree may be exempt from the Certificate in Business Accounting and can begin the course at the Operational Level.

For the CIMA F1 module (Financial reporting), learners are assessed through:
Objective Test (OT): A computer-based exam that includes multiple-choice, multiple-response, drag-and-drop, and other objective question formats.
Exam Duration: 90 minutes.
Passing Mark: 70%.
This is a standalone exam for F1, and there are no additional assessments or coursework requirements for this module.
