Here’s what we found out…
Development is not just for the workplace
The Personal Development Fund offers our co-members a chance to learn a new skill with half the course fee (up to £500) paid for by Reed.
Some of the most popular certifications people choose include driving lessons, cookery courses and scuba diving lessons, but the range of qualifications varies wildly from flower arranging in Middlesbrough to surfing in Morocco…
…but Professional Development is very important
Most new starters at Reed who are new to recruitment will be enrolled as Apprentices. In addition to world-class training from our dedicated in-house Learning and Development team, they will also receive industry-recognised qualifications.
For more established co-members, Professional Qualification sponsorship may be available, such as CIPD (HR) or ACCA (Accountancy) funding or part-funding. Sponsorship for these qualifications requires a sound business case and senior management support.
For members of the Graduate Scheme, Professional Qualification funding forms part of the benefits package (second year onward). Find out more about our Early Talent careers and rewards here.
Long Service Awards are a real favourite of co-members
Among other rewards, co-members receive a one-week paid sabbatical after 5 years at Reed and a six-week paid sabbatical after 10 years service to the company.
Long service rewards increase with every 5 years at the company, including high-value gifts, more paid sabbaticals and additional days of annual leave.
For every co-member reaching 10 years with the business, they are also invited to a celebratory lunch at the Ritz with fellow long-service employees and the company founder, Sir Alec Reed. The same goes to co-members who then go on to achieve a service length of 20, 25, 30, 35 and even in some cases 40 years or more. In 2018, 115 people (around 5% of all Co-Members) have been invited.
Moving house while at Reed is a breeze…
Co-Members across the business have been using their Moving Home Leave day to relocate themselves and their families without the added stress of having to use a day of annual leave.
On top of this the REED Reward Hub is a great resource for co-member to find discounts and cashback offers on a range of vehicle hire, DIY and other retailers to help ease the burden of moving costs.
Speaking of which…
Our co-members love a bargain
Using the Reward Hub our co-members save hundreds of pounds each year through cashback offers and discounts on a whole host of things from holidays to hats… especially useful in the lead up to Christmas.
Reward Hub can even be used to buy items and experiences such as cinema tickets at less than 50% of retail price.
Reed benefits are what you make them
The range of rewards on offer at Reed is great.
Browsing our co-members’ #RewardsAtReed posts will give you an insight to other benefits not listed above including; the Holiday Allowance / Exchange Scheme, opportunities to travel through work and events linked to the charities of REED, and raffle-drawn access to the Reed family’s personal box at the Royal Albert Hall, to pick just a few.
Not all rewards are best posted as videos on LinkedIn, so some of the benefits you wont see under the hashtag are aspects like Reed's Health Cash Plan, Gym Discounts or access to Financial Health Checks.
