Your 12-month journey with us...

Since 2018, we’ve been helping undergraduates get a rounded experience of the workplace and we’re good at it.

Our 12-month paid placements at Reed give you the opportunity to work in recruitment and experience working with a range of professional services, internal stakeholders and clients ranging from SMEs to larger global organisations.

During your time with us, you’ll be supported with industry-leading training, a dedicated mentor helping your grow your commercial knowledge and networking skills, an uncapped bonus structure, and a provisional offer to join our graduate programme.

What you need to join us...

To take part in Reed's placement scheme, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • You must be studying full-time at a UK-based university

  • You should be target-driven, resilient, ambitious and possess excellent communication skills

  • Where possible be geographically flexible, this will give you access to the widest range of opportunities

  • Be eligible to work in the UK on a full-time basis


How do you apply?

Applying for our roles is straightforward. Our streamlined approach is designed to save you time and effort, allowing you to focus on showcasing your skills and experiences. This is what you can expect:

1. Complete our application form

Tell us why you have chosen to apply for Reed's placement scheme and why you would be a good fit for Reed

2. Take a psychometric test

Complete our general ability assessment

3. Telephone interview

Our early talent team will call to discuss your motivations, tell you more about the roles we have available and explain what life at Reed could look like for you

4. Have a test run

You’ll complete a telephone role play which will give you an insight into the day-to-day job. In this scenario, you will take up the role of a resourcer at Reed calling a candidate to sell them a job opportunity

5. Find your placement

We will align your preferences with the positions we have available – our team strive to place you in the right position to ensure you reach your maximum potential

What’s next?

When you first start on the Reed placement scheme you will set yourself some objectives to work towards. As the end of the year approaches, you will review them with your manager. The outcome of the review will determine whether you gain a conditional offer to join our graduate scheme following completion of your degree.

To date most of our undergraduate students have received an offer to join the scheme, and the majority have returned to us after graduation.
