Our step-by-step process
Finding a job at Reed couldn’t be simpler, our recruitment process has been designed to be as seamless as possible, and we strive to keep you updated every step of the way. Take a look at the steps below – this may vary slightly dependent on team and role…
Step 1:
Telephone interview with our TA team
Once your application has been reviewed and shortlisted, a member of our talent acquisition team will reach out to you via email to schedule a telephone interview. Be prepared to discuss your CV, experience, and why you’re interested in this role and working for Reed. The telephone interview typically lasts about 30 minutes. You will also learn about the next steps in the hiring process and have an opportunity to ask any initial questions. After the call, our team will closely evaluate your responses, and if you meet the initial criteria, you will be contacted within a few days and invited to a video interview with the hiring manager.
Step 2:
Video interview with our hiring manager
You will receive an email or phone call to arrange a video interview at a mutually convenient time. The video interview will typically last between 30 and 45 minutes. During this time, our hiring manager will dive deeper into your technical skills and experience, discuss specific projects or situations where you demonstrated relevant skills, assess your problem-solving abilities and how you handle challenges, and answer any questions you have about the team, role, or company culture. After this, if the hiring manager believes you are a strong candidate, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview.
Step 3:
Face-to-face interview
Our talent acquisition team will coordinate with you to schedule a face-to-face interview at one of our vibrant locations, providing detailed instructions on the location, parking, and any documents you need to bring. This interview may last between 60-to-90 minutes and include a comprehensive discussion of your career history and how it aligns with the role, behavioural questions to understand how you handle various work scenarios, and possibly a short task or presentation. If there is a task involved, this will be communicated to you in advance. Often this interview will include the hiring manager and possibly other stakeholders, you may also receive a tour of the office and introductions to potential team members. After this interview, the hiring manager and team will review your application and interview feedback. If you are successful, you will receive a job offer.
Step 4:
Success confirmation and onboarding
If you are selected, our talent acquisition team will extend a formal job offer via email, including details of the compensation package, benefits, start date, and any other pertinent information. You will have an opportunity to review the offer, ask any questions, and then formally accept it by signing and returning the offer letter. Once the offer is accepted, and the relevant pre-employment screening checks are complete, you will receive an onboarding package with welcome materials and information about Reed. The onboarding process will include an introduction to your role and responsibilities, meetings with key team members and stakeholders, training sessions to familiarise you with our systems, processes, and tools, and regular check-ins during your first few months to ensure a smooth transition and address any questions or concerns. We look forward to potentially welcoming you to our team!
