To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Reed.co.uk released a spin on the already-popular Pomeranian #LoveMondays campaign featuring the Queen’s favourite canine companion – the Corgi. Taxis and buses around London received the full regal treatment and we were even announced as an exclusive advertising partner for the launch of the Elizabeth line!
The fun didn’t stop there as we simultaneously launched an internal Corgi-themed competition, inviting our co-members to get involved with the campaign with some fantastic prizes up for grabs such as £250 shopping vouchers and a £500 holiday package.
The Reed Courses team came away with a £300 voucher towards a team event by winning the challenge of ‘biggest group photo with an ad’ after photobombing one of our billboards on High Holborn.
There was a lot of creative flair on show, the highlight of which came from Zaineb Eedan (Senior Key Accounts Manager) who magically placed herself in one of our pink buses! Funnily enough, her prize for the photo was a day out of afternoon tea on an open-top London bus.
Pride Month
Pride Month 2022 was extremely significant as it marked the 50th anniversary of the first official UK Pride march which was held in London in the summer of 1972. To recognise this milestone, we hosted a month-long curriculum across to teach and celebrate the worldwide impact of the LGBTQ+ community.
Internally we shared ‘MythBusters’, vibrant and engaging infographics which tackle common misconceptions to do with the LGBTQ+ community and externally, we gave kudos to our favourite LBTQ+ icons.
Monty Moncrieff, Chief Executive at a local charity called London Friend, (virtually) popped by for an excellent talk, telling us all about the life-changing work they deliver and how we at Reed.co.uk could help in their mission. In collaboration with our sister charity company, The Big Give, we helped to raise funds for the important support services London Friend provide the LGBTQ+ community by holding The Great Rainbow Bake-Off.
The treats you see above were all delicious and contributions went straight to The Big Give’s campaign for London Friend which totalled over £850 by closing! Thank you to everyone who donated
To round off the month, we invited all of our co-members to a Pride-themed party live at Dragon Court . Complete with rainbow decorations, 80s hits, bright clothing, customised popcorn and candy floss, it was the perfect way to close an insightful and delightful month. Strategy week
Alongside our Pride Month fun, June also featured our annual Strategy Week. With a new financial year around the corner, we wanted to take the time to deliver engaging sessions for our co-members to empower them as we push on for another record-breaking year. We hosted a combination of in-office and virtual sessions for our co-members, covering the core elements of our FY23 Strategy.
In addition, we launched some exciting new benefits for our co-members, including:
A new and improved bounty referral scheme with higher payouts
Reduced full-time working hours from 40 hours to 37.5 hours with no salary impact
Increased budget for L&D opportunities
An incoming Tech Graduate Scheme to bring early talent into Reed.co.uk
So, I’m going to make a big statement – Strategy Week was my favourite week of the financial year! When we started planning Strategy Week, we’d hoped that it would be engaging, and would offer everyone an opportunity to understand our plans for the coming year. It was great seeing so many people in the office – it’s been a while since we had internal, in-person events of this scale. I have been thrilled by the attendance at this week’s sessions, while the number and quality of the questions being asked has been fantastic. I would like to thank everyone who has attended sessions this week for their involvement, and a special thank you to our presenters.

End of Year Awards & Party
There’s only one way to enter a new financial year – dancing! To close out an awesome FY22, we borrowed the top two floors of the Gherkin for a night of gratitude, celebration and slick dance moves . Our social committee pulled an absolute stormer out of the bag by securing the prestigious venue for our Summer Party which featured our End of Year Awards.
