We are thrilled to share that we have won the British HR Awards 2025 in the 'Innovation of the Year' category.
The British HR Awards is an annual event dedicated to recognising and celebrating the teams and individuals who are truly passionate about delivering exceptional people experiences. This year they had over 350 entries from organisations across the UK, ranging from start-up innovators to public sector and global organisations, and everything in between.
We are incredibly proud and honoured to have won the award for 'Innovation of the Year'. We believe it is critical to make UK hiring the fairest in the world to reduce worklessness and to create a fairer society, whilst making UK hiring the safest it can be.
Head of Engagement at Reed Screening
The panel of judges for the British HR Awards 2025 includes representatives from diverse organisations such as the AA, Monzo, Puma and Shelter amongst others.
Winners were announced at a special celebration event in Covent Garden, London, hosted by comedian Fiona Allen. Awards were given in various categories, including ‘Culture Initiative of the Year’, ‘Employee Wellness Initiative of the Year’, and ‘Leader of the Year’.
Reed Screening won based on our work in pioneering safer hiring, collaborating closely with the UK government to drive national policy change, ensuring non-discriminatory, inclusive, and efficient screening processes that benefit both business and the economy. Our work with the government has led to:
A Private Members’ Bill on AI Regulation with a particular focus on hiring
Digital right to work checks, where our work was quoted by Ministers as leading to 25 million people getting jobs quickly and remotely by 2030
Launch of the country’s first-ever best practice guides on Hiring Fraud and AI in Hiring, launched with MPs and Peers
Launch of the first National Hiring Committee between industry and government
Launch of the first Parliamentary Steering Committee on Modernising Employment
The Home Secretary announcing employment checks for gig, freelance, and self-employed workers
What has always driven us is the desire to improve hiring and work so that it is faster, fairer, and safer for everyone across the UK.
Corinne Peart, Head of Engagement at Reed Screening said, “We are incredibly proud and honoured to have won the award for 'Innovation of the Year'.
