Enhanced Internal Fraud Database (EIFD)
Members of the Enhanced Internal Fraud Database can conduct searches against it to ensure that their current or potential employees have not been filed for dishonest actions, such as bribery and corruption, disclosure of personal data to third parties, and theft from customers. Members can also file their own cases to ensure that other members are not harmed in future by an individual with a previous record of dishonest or fraudulent conduct. As part of an EIFD membership relevant search results from the NFD can also be returned.
National Fraud Database (NFD)
The National Fraud Database is the largest database of fraud risk data and intelligence in the UK. The NFD is simple and effective. All members record instances of fraudulent conduct against their organisation to the NFD, enabling other members to search against their data. When members match against data on the NFD and confirm fraudulent conduct, they file their own case. It is an invaluable data and intelligence sharing platform allowing organisations across multiple industries to assist each other in preventing and detecting a range of fraud types. The database also contains information on actual and potential victims of identity theft to help protect them from further fraud.
